Pre-Professional Division
The Pre-Professional Training Program of NCDC is designed to prepare the advanced level dancer for a professional performing career. The Artistic Directors have created a new, unprecedented curriculum which includes rigorous classical ballet base supplemented with either modern or additional ballet and pointe. The program allows dancers the flexibility to customize their training schedule to meet their individual needs and goals. We work with each dancer to help them determine the right path for them.
In addition to an unparalleled level of training, the new 2009/2010 curriculum offers the performance experiences and training needed to get an edge over the competition.
The Pre-Professional Training Program will also include special workshops and classes in nutrition and health, dance history, dance careers, dance at the collegiate level as well as parent classes (educating parents on the dance world and as dance as a career, etc.)
Ambassador Program
A program diversified by age divisions designed to take dancers to the next level of technique, and to offer them quality performance opportunities. Dancers gain the experience while utilizing their talents to connect with and serve the community while gaining a deeper appreciation and understanding of the arts.
Dancers chosen as NCDC Ambassadors will act as liaisons for the studio and the art form of dance through community events, performances, competitions, and community service.
The placement into the Ambassador program is by audition only. Placement will be at the discretion of the Directors.
An informational open meeting will be held for anyone who is interested in learning about the 2009/2010 Ambassador program on Wednesday April 22nd from 7:30-8:30pm.
The meeting will give details of the structure of the program, class requirements, financial commitments etc.
All dancers auditioning for all auditions must bring a completed registration form and a headshot to the audition.
Attire:
· Girls: black leotard, pink tights, all dance shoes.
· Boys: black tights or shorts white t-shirt, white socks, all dance shoes.
