Cat Davis Faculty & Staff

Cat Davis was born and raised in Elk Grove, California. From the ages 3-11 years old Cat was a gymnast at Byers Gymnastics Center. At the age of 11 Cat started studying jazz dance at J. Rene Academy of dance. In high school she danced with her high school dance company, Rhythmical Madness. Being a part of Rhythmical Madness she was able to have the opportunity to study a wide range of dance styles varying from jazz, hip hop, lyrical, character, modern, and ballet. Cat was a part of Rhythmical Madness for all four years of high school and was a student director for three of the years. During high school, she also trained at Step One Dance and Fitness in Sacramento. Her training there began with her participation on their hip-hop competitive team and expanded to taking jazz, ballet and contemporary. After high school she attended CSUS. In her first year at CSUS, Cat was a part of the Hornet Girls dance team and performed in various dance concerts including the SSDA dance concert, the faculty dance concert, and the senior showcase.

Currently, Cat is in her third year at Sacramento State studying Physical Education with a goal of becoming a dance teacher at a high school. She is also dancing for contemporary dance company, CORE dance collective. Cat Davis is a dance instructor at Step One Dance and Fitness, Vacaville parks and recreation dance program, Roseville parks and recreation NCDC program, and is the co-director of Pleasant Grove High School’s dance company, Soul Purpose
