Alexa
Alexa began dancing at the age of ten and quickly realized her passion for dance. Now
four years later, her love for dance is stronger and she knows that she wants dance to
be a part of her life as long as possible. Alexa enjoys all styles, but her favorite is modern. |

Andrea
I'm fourteen years old. I am currently a Teen Ambassador at NCDC. I have been dancing
since I was two and a half. Dancing has always been a passion of mine, and NCDC
has helped me pursue this passion. I have been dancing at NCDC for three years. My
favorite type of dance is modern and ballet. My current dance goals are to become more
confident in myself when I'm dancing. I'm looking forward to another great year! |

Arushi
I am 11 years old. I joined NCDC in Sep '08. Dancing is by far my biggest passion, and
I thoroughly enjoy every moment at NCDC. The teachers are great and the atmosphere
is wonderful! I was born in India. I started dancing in Singapore at the age of three and
fell in love with it early on. I passed certification up to grade-5 with the Royal Academy of
Dance, London. In 2006 I joined intermediate ballet at Menlo Park Academy of Dance. A
year ago I was part of the production "Twas The Night Before Christmas". My ambition
is to become a doctor, and continue to dance. It is my dream to treat special needs children,
and teach them to dance. Besides dancing I enjoy painting and horseback riding. |

Carlene
I am 14 years old and a freshman. I love dancing and performing for people, it’s my way
of expressing myself, telling a story or sharing my experiences. I love it when peoples’
lives are touched by my dancing. I want to continue with dancing, become a professional
and dance as long as my legs will let me! I started out dancing at the age of two
at Rocklin Dance. At age seven I moved on to Lines School of Performing Arts, where I
was trained in ballet, jazz, lyrical, tap and contemporary. While at Lines, I competed in
many competitions in both group and solo dances, and loved competing. I just started
with NCDC this year and love it! |

Kaitlyn
I have been dancing since I was 3 years old. I have always enjoyed all types of dance
including ballet, contemporary, modern, jazz and hip hop too. This is my 2nd year at
NCDC and I love this studio. I would like to go to college to dance and one day make
it onto "So you think you can dance". When I am not dancing I enjoy listening to music
and hanging out with my friends. |

Kennedy
I am 13 years old and in 8th grade. I have been dancing since the age of 5 and have
loved it ever since. Although contemporary is my favorite style of dance, I believe that all
styles are equally amazing. Dance is my life and I will not stop until I physically cannot
dance anymore. |

Makeila
Makeila is 11 years old and has been dancing since the age of 3. This is her second
year at Northern California Dance Conservatory and she is enjoying the experience very
much. She loves her teachers and is learning proper techniques to enhance her dancing. |

Natalie
Natalie is fourteen and has been dancing since the age of ten. This is her second year
at NCDC as well as in the Ambassador program. She likes all styles of dance, but really
enjoys contemporary. Natalie is looking forward to performing this year and continuing
to improve in dance. Her goals are to keep dancing through college, and beyond. She is
excited to begin another great year at NCDC. |

Nick
Nick is 15 years old and started dancing when he was 8. He was drawn to dance
through hip-hop, after being taught and inspired by D-Trix. Nick's prior dance director,
Paula Duffy, encouraged him to try other styles of dance including tap, which he really
enjoyed. Reluctant to take ballet at a young age, a male ballet teacher, Mr. Shay, convinced
him that it was all right for boys to take ballet. After a few classes with Mr. Shay,
Nick soon learned to enjoy the art of ballet. Nick started taking regular classes in jazz,
tap, hip-hop, contemporary, modern, and ballet and found that he really loves to dance. |

Sabrina:
I am 13 years old. I have been dancing since I was eight and I absolutely love it. I hope
to dance in college and maybe do musical theatre. I love dance because it allows me to
express myself in a unique way. It also helps me interact with people that have the same
interest in dancing and performing. Prior to dancing with NCDC I danced at a studio in
Roseville called Lines for 3 years. I knew as soon as I started that this would be my passion.
I love dance and hope to dance my whole life. |
